Projects
Over many years, the funds we collected have been used to donate much needed equipment for the various departments in the Gozo General Hospital. (See Donations and Loans section). We run the Meals-on-Wheels delivery service in a vehicle we donated for the purpose.
Every year, the FSEG also provided items of equipment for the benefit of patients in Rezidenza Sant'Anna, in the Male Elderly Residence, in the Psychiatric Wards and in other sections of the Gozo General Hospital.
In 2009, we committed more funds for the needs of the sick and the elderly in their own homes, pressure-relieving mattresses, electrically-controlled patient lifters and variable-position beds to assist family members to care for bedridden patients. This In addition to continuing the supply of wheelchairs, walking aids, commodes.
On 5th December 2010, with the help of Rotary Club Gozo, we opened a storage and distribution centre at the M.A.S. Residntial Complex in Ghajnsielem for our equipment loan sevice.Â
On Sunday 23rd January 2011 we donated a final cheque to the St. Dominic Home for the Elderly in Victoria, which charitable Home is currently being extended, to cover the total cost of setting up a complete room. A bed and a recliner armchair, both electrically-controlled, had already been donated and the furniture installed.
