Fundraising Activities
The vast majority of members are passive and support the society solely by their membership fee, currently Euro3.00 annually or Euro25.00 for life-membership.
Apart from the monthly committee meetings, the small group of active members organise fund-raising activities, the principal ones being an annual lunch, an occasional dinner and six seasonal car-boot sales. Recently, they published a number of interesting cookery ideas in "The Friends' Recipe Book", which sells for €2.50 a copy; very few copies remanin.
Through the great generosity of one of our life members, Mrs Sonja Sinclair Stevenson-Lindblad, we have also run a number of Art Exhibitions which have contributed significantly in helping us raise funds towards our projects. On 7th December 2008, a very successful piano concert by Michelangelo Carbonara was organised by Mrs Sinclair Stevenson at Kempinski Hotel, San Lawrenz. A second concert by the same acclaimed pianist was repeated in March 2010.
In 2009-2010, we are being sponsored by The Rotary Club (Gozo). On 3rd July 2009, the FSEG gratefully received the first financial donation from this organisation.
On 31st July, The Rotary Club Gozo held an Auction Sale in aid of its chosen charities, including the FSEG. Auctions are rare events in gozo: so look out for the next one. The venue will be announced in due course. Watch this space.
Car Boot Sales
"Turn your unwanted treasures into Cash"
This sale is organised by FSEG volunteers to generate funds from selling car-boot spaces and also from an FSEG stall of items donated by friends and the wider public.
The Car boots are held from 7:00am onwards on the last Sundays of March, April, May, September, October & November at Marsalforn Car park. Sellers pay on the day at €10.00 per car-space. No hawkers or commercial vehicles are allowed.
Donors of any donated items (e.g. books, household goods, bric-a-brac)should contact Mrs Audrey Pace on Tel. 21553336 to arrange for delivery or collection. Typically we collect items up-to 2 or 3 days before the event to give us time to sort and price them.
Friends' Recipe Book

This book contains a range of "The Friends" favourite recipes, and compiled by Mary Mizzi. It was originally put together to start the "Meals on Wheels" service and there are still some copies available.

Our Sponsors
THANKYOU!
Without sponsorship, fundraising is an onerous task. We thank all our many Sponsors and Supporters for donating to our causes and events year on year.
Considerable funds are essential for the achievement of certain projects and the "Friends" are very grateful for the generous assistance they get from the Ministry for Gozo, The Community Chest Fund, The English-Speaking Catholic Community (Gozo), the Rotary Club (Gozo) and many other benefactors too numerous to name here.
SPECIAL THANKS
In particular we'd like to give special thanks to Ms Sonja Sinclair Stevenson-Lindblad, who has dedicated so much time and her Gallery to raising important funds for FSE Gozo good causes. WEBSITE: The Sinclair Stevenson Gallery.
